No matter what the filter is designed to catch, it needs to be cleaned & emptied so remain in optimal condition. This process of cleaning and emptying a Diesel Particulate Filter is called DPF regeneration.
We thoroughly clean Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF’s). DPF Filters are required by law in every late diesel vehicle in Australia. DPF Filter Cleaning Service safeguards the lifespan of and the original productivity of the DPF. This innovative cleaning process preserves the materials of the DPF and only removes residual build up and oil without harming the filter.

Passive Regeneration is the process in which fuel cells replenish themselves when the vehicle is at highway speeds. The driver doesn't need to take any actions in these instances, and this type of regeneration usually happens about 95% of the time when driving linehaul.
Active Regeneration is required when duty cycles don’t generate enough heat to convert all of the carbon being collected in the DPF. The Engine Control Module will initiate an Active Regeneration in these cases by injecting a small amount of diesel into the exhaust stream. This additional heat ensures that excess carbon oxidises without any driver intervention, which will cause it to happen more often in vehicles with low speed, low load or stop and go duty cycles.
